Every year, Pantone choose a colour that reflects the current cultural climate. This year it is ‘Greenery’.
Greenery is a fresh colour – too many people it symbolises nature, the environment, vegetables, grass, the outdoors, spring and summer, and an upbeat positive feeling.
From a colour psychology standpoint, green represents the great balance of logic and emotion, creating stability between the head and the heart. It is the colour of growth, renewal and rebirth, able to restore energy and well-being. Green is an emotionally positive colour; it can provide mental and physical relaxation and can also help treat depression, nervousness and anxiety. Overall, green is a pretty good colour!
It's also the colour of a salt & vinegar crisp packet, which is obviously the best flavour.
